Common Questions

Does RSRY require speech recognition?

No. English prayer can use voice tracking in supported browsers and in the iOS app, and every prayer can be advanced manually. Latin prayer is available on the web with manual Previous and Next controls.

Which browsers support web Voice Mode?

Use Safari or Chrome for web Voice Mode. Brave currently blocks the speech recognition API on desktop, so voice tracking is unavailable there; manual prayer controls still work.

Can I pray all fifteen decades?

Yes. Enable the 15 Decade Rosary setting to pray Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious mysteries in one session.

Where is my progress stored?

Session state, settings, and completed-day usage dots are stored locally on your device. Web data stays in this browser and does not synchronize with the iOS app. On iPhone and iPad, an installed Home Screen web app may keep data separately from Safari.

Can I install RSRY or use it offline?

Yes. On the prayer screen, open the menu and choose Install RSRY when it is offered. On iPhone and iPad, that option explains how to use Add to Home Screen from the Share menu. After the prayer experience has loaded once, manual prayer and the decade bell remain available offline. Voice tracking may require a connection.

What is the Latin recording pilot?

Invited adults may separately opt in to donate ecclesiastical Latin prayer recordings for speech-model training. Ordinary English and Latin prayer sessions are not recorded by this pilot.
