Privacy Policy

RSRY is designed as a quiet local prayer companion.

Information We Collect

RSRY does not require an account and does not collect personal information for advertising, analytics, or tracking.

Local App Data

Settings, active session state, highlighted prayer progress, and completed rosary days are stored locally on your device so RSRY can restore a session and show usage dots. The web version uses local storage and does not synchronize with the iOS app. An installed Home Screen web app may have storage separate from the same site in your browser.

Microphone and Speech Recognition

If you use English voice tracking, RSRY asks for microphone and speech recognition permission so it can follow your prayer and highlight the text. On the web, recognition is provided by your browser and may send microphone audio to the browser vendor’s speech service. RSRY uses transcripts only in the active page, does not transmit them to an RSRY server, and does not store them for advertising or analytics.

Optional Latin Recording Contributions

The invite-only Latin recording pilot is separate from ordinary prayer. It records only after an adult enters an invitation code, accepts the recording consent, grants microphone access, and sees the recording indicator. After an invitation is redeemed, the browser stores an opaque contribution-access token locally so it can start a limited number of additional recording sessions without another code. RSRY stores only a hash of that token, its expiration, and its session count; clearing the browser’s site data removes the saved access. Each retained clip is associated with canonical Latin text, timing, audio format, and a random contribution identifier. RSRY does not request a contributor’s name, email address, demographics, or advertising identifier.

Raw contribution audio remains private and may be used to train and evaluate Latin speech-recognition models only after integrity checks and review. Accepted recordings become eligible for permanent deletion 730 days after acceptance; cloud lifecycle deletion may complete shortly afterward. Incomplete and rejected uploads become eligible after 30 days. A contributor receives a locally saved withdrawal code before microphone access and can use it to revoke upload access immediately and schedule earlier deletion after outstanding upload forms expire. Models already trained or distributed from a contribution may not be reversible after raw audio is withdrawn.

Platform Features and Audio

The iOS app can show lock-screen Live Activity progress. The iOS and web versions can play an optional decade bell. These features use local app state.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share app data with advertisers or data brokers.
